Imagine my surprise when I found this silver '05 4-seater at the bank this morning! I'll bet the owner was making a large cash withdrawl to pay his mechanic.

Dat Ass.
One of the few high-beltline cars I appreciate.

I was at the VW dealer a couple of weeks ago getting my 10K service...a Phaeton was in the service lot. I commented it was unusual; my service adviser (whom I dearly love) smiled and said they're still around but crazy money to service. She noted one customer bought a $1200 extended warranty...the warranty company got nailed for almost $8000 before the warranty expired...

Nice find! But isn't that a Jetta? :)

Good thing you wore a t-shirt proclaiming your barefootness! I would've never noticed otherwise.

Hey, don't be hatin' on my slick threads! That's my Barefoot Runners Society shirt. Got it after my first 5K.

Ah, I always get those two mixed up!
I honestly don't know why it didn't come to the show today. It was really close by.

I wear shoes walking around, but barefoot running is great. I usually wear Merrells, though, because I'm not that hardcore.

Cool. How well do they hold up? Do you do do mostly pavement running or trail running?

Oh, I believe it. I've sunk $11K into mine just this year.

It's a mix of both, but I'm not doing as much trail running as I'd like to. The Merrells hold up very well, but some of the New Balance minimus shoes don't.

$11K? I haven't spent that much on my last five cars!
